She studied under Russell Papania, the American Institute of Floral Designers' (AIFD) top award winner, and Glen Vesh, who has garnered international acclaim.

Wes Stetson was born into a family with a long lineage on the Outer Banks.
His career as a landscape designer began in 1984, before he moved to New Orleans. It was there that he met Kim. Wes worked for French Quarter Florist as the Pool and Sauna Room Designer for the business' major hotel clients. He also honed his skills by working with Michael Salinas, the visual merchandiser at Saks.
After Wes returned to the Outer Banks with Kim, his creative talents blossomed when they founded Holiday House. Since then, he has been the creative force not only behind many spectacular Outer Banks weddings, but also for events at The Elizabethan Gardens, The Lost Colony, and the annual Outer Banks Wedding Expo.
